Who We Are

Dzilth-na-o-dith-hle Community Grant School is a K-8 school located in the shadow of a sacred mountain.  The school was opened in 1968 and has been in continuous service ever since.  The school offers an academic program as well as a residential program to meet the needs of our community's children.  The residential program is able to house boys and girls in grades first through twelfth.

The school offers a dynamic education for our students.  Children in grades K-6 participate in a two hour reading block in the morning and a 90 minute math block in the afternoon.  These grades also have social studies and science curriculums they follow as well as the special themes and units that the teachers incorporate into their teaching.  Students in grades 7 and 8 change classes just like much larger junior highs.  Seventh and Eight grade students have core classes, specials and electives.  All students at Dzilth-na-o-dith-hle have a weekly Physical Education class, Library class and culture class.  In addition to these, the junior high students take computers each week with the option of taking other electives like school newspaper, recycling club and more.

We offer enrichment activities for our students such as Powwow Club, Student Senate, a 21st Century Summer Reading Program, beading, music lessons, and lots of other activities that students can elect to participate in.  The school's goals include nurturing and educating the whole child.  Academic and enrichment components are created with those goals in mind.  If you are looking for a quality education for your child, stop by and visit us.
